In 2015, at the age of 28, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It was a complete shock. I was young, healthy, and had no family history of the disease.

I was devastated. I had so many dreams and plans for my future, and suddenly it all seemed like it was slipping away.

But I was determined not to let cancer define me. I was going to fight, and I was going to win.

I underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. It was a long and difficult road, but I never gave up hope.

I drew strength from my family and friends, from my faith, and from the stories of other survivors. I learned to take one day at a time, and to find joy in the small things.

I also learned the importance of self-care. I made sure to eat healthy, get enough sleep, and exercise regularly. I also found comfort in writing, painting, and spending time in nature.

After two years of treatment, I was finally declared cancer-free. It was an emotional moment, and I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

But my journey didn't end there. I wanted to share my story with others, to give them hope and inspiration. I wrote a book called Chasing Rainbows, which tells the story of my diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

I hope that my story will help others who are facing ovarian cancer. I want them to know that they are not alone, and that there is hope.

With courage, determination, and a strong support system, anything is possible.

"I was sitting in the doctor's office, waiting for the results of my biopsy. I knew in my heart that it wasn't going to be good news.

The doctor came in and sat down next to me. He took my hand and said, 'I'm so sorry, but you have ovarian cancer.'

I felt like my world had been shattered. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think. I just wanted to scream and cry.

But then I thought about my family and friends. I thought about all the people who loved me and who were counting on me. I knew that I had to be strong for them.

I took a deep breath and said, 'Okay. What do we do now?'

The doctor smiled and said, 'We fight.'"
