About the Book

Fishers of Men is the gripping true story of Martin McGartland, a British undercover agent who infiltrated the IRA during the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

McGartland was recruited by the British Army in 1971 and sent undercover into the IRA. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a trusted member of the organization. For seven years, he lived a double life, gathering intelligence on the IRA's plans and activities.

McGartland's work was instrumental in helping the British Army to defeat the IRA. He was involved in several major operations, including the arrest of IRA leader Gerry Adams. In 1978, McGartland's cover was blown and he was forced to flee Northern Ireland.

Fishers of Men is a fascinating and suspenseful account of McGartland's time as an undercover agent. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the Troubles or in espionage.
